Nominations for Ethics Board
Nominations close date:   COB 30 April 2012

Association Members and Community Representatives

  • The Association’s Ethics Board has nine members:
  • The Chairperson of the Ethics Board is a senior member of the profession (elected by the Council).
  • Three senior members of the Association who are not current members of the Council (selected by the Council).
  • Three current members of the Association who are not members of the Council; and
  • Three community representatives

The three members of the Association and the community representatives are selected by ballot every two years.  The three members of the Association should collectively bring expertise in ethics and knowledge of speech pathology practice.  Community representatives must not be speech pathologists and must be capable of fairly representing the views of the community.

The Association is calling for nominations for current members of the Association (and for community representatives) who are not members of Council to sit on the Ethics Board. Please consider your own interest in sitting on the Association’s Ethics Board and/or if you consider colleagues or persons in the community who would be suitable. Community representatives must not be speech pathologists and must be capable of fairly representing the views of the community. Current members of the Ethics Board can be considered for re-election.
