The Speech Pathology Australia Communicate: Our natural state 2012 National Conference program and online registration is now available.

It is recommended you read through the program before proceeding to the online registration process. By doing so you will have the opportunity to view what is on offer, each day, prior to making your selection. Some sessions will be limited to room size.

The Conference Planning Committee (CPC) together with the Scientific Program Sub-Committee (SPSC) have endeavoured to put a program together that will be beneficial and enjoyable to everyone.

NOTES AND QUICK TIPS FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION

Member
Registration Fee

Remember to renew your SPA membership (or if you are not a member, please consider doing so), to obtain the member registraton fee. Our system automatically determines the registration fee from your membership status.

Credit Card
Payments

Credit Card payment is the only form of online payment offered. The tax receipt and confirmation of registration will be emailed to you within one hour of registration.

Social events included within  payment of your
Registration Fee

 1.

Full Practicing member and Non member registrations automatically include the Welcome Reception and Conference Dinner.

 2.

Full registrations for Full-time post graduate students, re­–entry, non practising and students (entry level ie: Graduate entry masters and UG bachelor students) automatically includes the Welcome Reception only.

 3.

Tickets for the Conference Dinner or additional Welcome Reception tickets can be purchased online with your registration.

Once in the online registration screen....  Please note that if the Register key is "greyed out" (See A.) you have not logged in successfully.  Once you have logged in correctly, the Register key will revert to "normal / active" (See B.) and you can then proceed.

Conference sessions need to be selected during the registration process. Please note that after each heading selection the screen will revert to the top and you will need to scroll down. If you click  the information regarding the presentation will appear at the top left side of the screen. In some instances you will need to scroll up.

Associate Professions
may access
Member rates

Associate Professions = Working outside of Australia and a member of an associate profession.

If you have attended a previous Speech Pathology Australia Conference, you will already have a Username and Password. If you do not remember this information, at the Events page, click the Create a New Account link and follow the process. Associate Professions attending the Conference for the first time can follow the same process. Either way the relevant information will be provided. Following this process, Associate Professions will be offered the Member rates.

High quality research papers will be considered for publication in the Proceedings of the Speech Pathology Australia National Conference to be published in the International Journal of Speech-Language Pathology www.informahealthcare.com/ijslp

Notes for Manuscript Submission to International Journal of Speech-Language Pathology (IJSLP).

  • Manuscripts are due to be submitted online to Manuscript Central:   http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/tasl and received not later than Friday 13 July 2012.
  • Manuscripts should be between 7,000 – 8,000 words including references, appendices, and tables.
  • Information for authors is on the journal website.
    Go to www.informahealthcare.com/ijslp and click the tab 'instructions for authors'.
  • Submitted manuscripts will undergo international peer review. Only a small number of quality papers will be published.
