Professional Standards Portfolio is responsible for the development and maintenance of the professional standards of the Membership

This is achieved by:

• Ensuring the Competency Based Occupational Standards (CBOS) underpin relevant Association activities
• Overseeing and monitoring the negotiation process with Australian universities to ensure graduates meet CBOS requirements and are eligible for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia
• Overseeing and monitoring the assessment of prospective members via the Re-Entry and Overseas Recognition programs
• Promoting and maintaining the Professional Self Regulation (PSR) program
• Developing and maintaining position papers
• Developing and maintaining information on the Principles of Practice
• Contributing to international, national and state/territory projects, working parties, discussions and queries related to the above.
