International Journal of Speech-Language Pathology
International Journal of Speech-Language Pathology is the main academic publication of the Association.
International Journal of Speech-Language Pathology is an international journal which promotes discussion on a broad range of current clinical and theoretical issues. Submissions may include experimental, review and theoretical discussion papers, with studies from either quantitative and/or qualitative frameworks.
Articles may relate to any area of child or adult communication or dysphagia, furthering knowledge on issues related to etiology, assessment, diagnosis, intervention, or theoretical frameworks. Articles can be accompanied by supplementary audio and video files that will be uploaded to the journal's website. Special issues on contemporary topics are published at least once a year. A scientific forum is included in many issues, where a topic is debated by invited international experts.
Announcing the new Associate Editor for IJSLP
|
Angela Morgan PhD CPSP MSPAA |
Speech Pathology Australia and IJSLP are very pleased to announce that the new associate editor for IJSLP is Dr Angela Morgan. Dr Angela Morgan is a Senior Research Fellow at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute, supported by a National Health and Medical Research Council (NH&MRC) career development award. Her current research examines the neurobiological bases of childhood communication disorders. In 2010 she received an NH&MRC Achievement Award and a Victorian Young Tall Poppy Award for Scientific Achievement. She has published over 70 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters and obtained almost $7 million of competitive and philanthropic research funding. Angela also works clinically at the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, and teaches casually at the University of Melbourne and LaTrobe University. With translation a central tenet of her work, Angela has been privileged to see her research outcomes cited in significant reports and guideline documents for organizations such as CANchild, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Royal College of Physicians in the UK. We are very excited to have attracted a person of such high calibre to the position, and know she will be a real asset to the journal. Angela commences 23 January, 2012. |
