Speech Pathology Australia is committed to promoting and funding high quality research into all aspects of speech pathology practice.
In 2013 Speech Pathology Australia will offer research grants in the following categories:
Clinician Research Grants
Clinician Research Grants of up to $5,000 and $10,000 are available for clinically based research. They are not available to those enrolled in postgraduate studies. The grants are provided to support the growth of clinically based research within the speech pathology profession.

Nadia Verrall Memorial Research Grant
The Nadia Verrall Memorial Research Grant is coordinated by Speech Pathology Australia in the memory of Nadia Verrall who practised in paediatric speech pathology in WA and NSW. The outcomes of the research will enhance the clinical practice of speech pathologists working with children with communication disorders and their families. The annual research grant will be to a maximum of $5,000 each year.

Student Research Grants
Research/Higher Degree Student Research Grant
Post Graduate Student Research Grants of up to $5,000 and $10,000 are available for speech pathologists enrolled in post graduate studies. This research will add to the pool of evidence based data relevant to communication and swallowing disorders.
Post Graduate Research Grant Information and Application
Entry Level Student Research Grant
Undergraduate Student Research Grants of up to $600 are available for entry level students undertaking research. The grant is provided to support the growth of research within the speech pathology profession.
