Call for nominations

Speech Pathology Australia invites publishers, authors, and illustrators of Australian children’s books to submit nominations for the annual Book of the Year Awards.

You may nominate your book in one of the following categories.

  • Age-related categories 
    • Birth to 3 Years
    • 3–5 years
    • 5–8 Years
    • 8–10 Years 
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Book 
  • Decodable Book Series  

Read the eligibility criteria

A fee of $15 applies to each nominated book or series.

Nominations close: Friday 22 March 2026 at 11.59 pm (AEDT).

How to access the nomination form

All nominations must be submitted online.

  • If you do not have an account, you will need to create one.
  • Once you have signed up and logged in, you will be directed to the nomination form.
  • If you wish to submit another nomination, return to the nomination form and complete a new submission.
  • If you are submitting more than one entry, please wait 5 minutes between each submission.
