General
These terms apply to all Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) Support Funds. By submitting an application, applicants agree to these terms.
The support fund process is overseen by the Conference organisers.
By applying for a support fund, successful applicants agree to SPA publicising their name, institution / or organisation where they work and geographical location. Personal information provided to SPA will be collected and used in accordance with the Association's privacy policy, and may be shared with Guild Insurance.
Applicants acknowledge and agree they are independent of SPA and not an employee or agent, and have no authority to bind SPA by contract or otherwise.
No rights or obligations provided under a support fund may be assigned, novated or otherwise transferred. Any action, including any act of grace by SPA is only effective as a waiver if it is reduced in writing and provided to the other party, and then only to the extent of that written waiver.
These terms are governed by the laws exercised by the courts in the State of Victoria, Australia.
Selection process
The Conference organisers are responsible for the independent, objective evaluation and review of support fund applications. All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Decisions made in relation to support funds are not subject to reconsideration, review or appeal. Applicants must notify the Conference organisers if they received funding from another source for attendance to the conference.
Reporting requirements
Support fund recipients will be expected to submit a brief written report on their activities during SPA Conference and the use of their experience in their place of work or community within four weeks of the conference end date.
Support fund recipients will be expected to assist, if required, by being featured in media articles/releases and public announcements related to the support fund. Reports may be used by SPA and Guild Insurance for promotional purposes, for example on the SPA website. Reports will be retained by SPA and may be collated with other reports to provide information on the outcomes of the supportfFund program or as part of an evaluation of the program.
Payments
Successful applicants will be notified of the support fund awarded in a letter of offer via email. Support fund recipients will be required to accept the letter of offer. The Conference organisers will arrange and pay for the support fund recipient's travel, accommodation and registration.
