Speech Pathology Australia (the Association) is a membership organisation that draws its strength from its members. As the national peak body for the speech pathology profession in Australia, the Association has several categories of membership.

The Association provides support for speech pathology students and recent graduates in the early stages of their career. This and related pages contain resources specifically for speech pathology students.

Free* membership for first year students

The Association offers all first year speech pathology students (those who have not previously been a member of Speech Pathology Australia) free* membership in their first year of study.

Free membership is open to any speech pathology student undertaking an undergraduate or postgraduate speech pathology course for the very first time. The member benefits are numerous.

Student member

Students enrolled in a speech pathology course recognised by Speech Pathology Australia are eligible for this category of membership. First year students are offered complimentary membership for their first year of study but must provide letter of offer as evidence to support this.
