This workshop will provide clinicians with practical information about the latest evidence based diagnosis and treatments for childhood apraxia of speech. We will focus on differential diagnosis and treatments with the best evidence (DTTC, ReST, IPA & NDP3). Other treatments will be discussed if time permits.
Upon successful completion of this workshop, participants will:
- Understand recent research developments in diagnosis and treatment of childhood apraxia of speech (CAS)
– Know about free resources which will help them implement evidence based practice in CAS
– Practice providing treatment in two of the evidence based treatments of CAS
– Discuss problem solving in treatment of children with CAS who also have other diagnoses.

Registrants must be speech pathologists or speech pathology students in their final year.
This workshop is relevant for clinicians with some knowledge or experience working with children with apraxia (dyspraxia) or other moderate-severe speech disorders.
