We would like to invite Queensland Branch members to attend an Advocacy Forum on Saturday 23 May 2020, from 1 – 4pm. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this event will be hosted using Zoom videoconferencing software.
Our last forum 2017 lead to the development of high quality resources, including the Communication Milestones posters and GP Education Kit. This forum will help target our Branch's advocacy work as we develop a new operational plan to address the top priorities for speech pathologists in Queensland.
We will be discussing possible projects that the Queensland Branch could undertake to make a difference on these specific issues and other areas of identified need - we won't necessarily be doing something in every area - but we will determine realistic and manageable projects where we will get the 'best bang for our buck' over the next few years.
The forum will be led by Mark Smith (Manager Policy and Advocacy at National Office), and Anne Huang and Shaun Ziegenfusz (QLD Branch Advocacy Portfolio Co-Leaders).
This is a free event for members only and the Zoom link will be emailed to all registrants just prior to the event.
Registrations will close at 5pm on Monday 18 May 2020.
Please remember that you must log in as a member to register.
