Vic Branch Student Portfolio presents: SLP2B 2021

Welcome to SLP2B, 2021!

The SLP2B event supports speech pathology students’ learning of different areas of speech pathology practice. Speech pathologists representing a broad range of specialist areas share valuable insight into their professional journeys and areas of expertise. Presenters come from various backgrounds; some have decades of experience and a wealth of knowledge, while others are early in their careers and forging their futures as speech pathologists. This year, we are thrilled to invite professionals and a consumer of speech pathology services to participate in SLP2B, 2021. Participants will be introduced to speech pathologists including Susie Hawke, Marleen Westerveld, Robyn O’Halloran, Sterling Quinn, Holly Mitchell, Lucy FitzSimons, and Bridgett James. They will also have the privilege to hear from Meredith Allan, a highly respected and skilled user of augmentative and alternative communications, who is a passionate advocate for multimodal communication and speech pathology services.

This year, SLP2B has been designed as a two-part hybrid event. The first part of the SLP2B event begins on Monday 6th September, when recorded videos from seven speech pathologists and one SLP consumer become available to view the links by email. The second part of the SLP2B event is a live Q&A. The Q&A event will begin with a live presentation from Susie Hawke, who has specialist expertise in speech, language, and literacy development. After her presentation, Susie will join the presenters of the recorded videos and together they will answer audience members’ questions. The live Q&A event will begin at 7:00pm AEST, Monday 27th September.

Participants are encouraged to watch the videos prior to attending the live event as they will have the opportunity to ask the professionals and the consumer questions. A certificate of participation will be provided following the completion of a feedback form.

The link to the articulate will be emailed to you within 24 hours of you registering.

This is a free event for members, the price for non members will be $10.00. You must sign in to allow you to register (or it will show as registration not available).

Registration closes on Monday 27th September at 12pm AEST.
