Speechie Library Talks 2021

Registrations are now closed to members and libraries - we hope to see you in 2022.

Speech Pathology Australia is excited to once again host the annual Speechie Library Talks campaign to highlight the role of speech pathologists in children’s language and literacy development.

Speechie Library Talks will facilitate connection between speech pathologists and their local public or school library, in a series of events to be held in November 2021 to coincide with the Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year award celebrations.

By connecting speech pathologists with their local public or school library, and the broader community, the campaign aims to raise awareness about:

  • the role speech pathologists play in developing children’s language and literacy
  • the Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Awards, and
  • how library resources can play a part in building language and literacy.

Speech Pathology Australia is collaborating in the campaign with the Australian Library Information Association.

Parents, carers and others interested in children’s language and literacy development are invited to attend a talk (and book reading) at their local library to find out more about how they can help their child.
